| Professor Zulfiqar  Ali and his team visited national parks in AJK and presented research papers at  42nd congress of zoology, with aim to raise awareness, inspire  change, and foster a deeper connection with nature. Let’s unite in our efforts  to protect the Earth today and for generations to come. Together, we can make a  meaningful impact and create a more sustainable world. Earth Day is a reminder  of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability, encouraging  us to come together and take action for a healthier planet and brighter future. | 
  
    | The team explored various  habitats within the conservation area, including forests, wetlands, grasslands,  etc. The diversity of plant and animal life was remarkable. Machiara National  Park in AJK known for its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems. It covers an  area of 13532 ha and is home to Common Leopard, Himalayan Ibex, Grey Goral,  Musk Deer, Rhesus Monkey, Grey Langur, Black Bear, Yellow Throated Martin, Red  fox, Palm Civet, Kashmir Marmot, (Western Horned Tragopan, Cheer, Koklass,  Monal and Kaleej), Chukar, Himalayan snow cock, snow partridge and Himalayan  Griffon Vulture. The conservation area plays a vital role in the preservation  of wild species and provides opportunities for research and education. | 
  
    | During the meeting  with Director Wildlife Naeem Iftikhar Dar and Mr. Hammad provided insights into  the area's history, conservation efforts, and current challenges. We learned  about wildlife conservation strategies, population status of various animals from  the tours. It was inspiring to see these animals thriving in their natural  habitats. |
