    | April 21, 2025 — The Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of  the Punjab, proudly marked a moment of distinction at PINTECH Expo 2025,  held at the Expo Center Lahore on Monday, April 21, 2025. The prestigious event  was organized by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) and Higher  Education Department (HED), Government of the Punjab, in collaboration with 12  universities across the province. |

    | This year’s expo witnessed the submission of over 1100 innovative  projects from public and private sector colleges and universities. Among  these, CEMB emerged as a leading research institute by securing both first  and second positions in the Biomedical category—a testament to its  sustained excellence in applied research and innovation. |

    | Under the dynamic supervision of Prof. Moazur Rahman, two  high-impact projects from CEMB received top honors: | 
  
    | • | First Position: “Next-Generation Oral Vaccines: Revolutionizing Livestock Health  and Disease Prevention”, led by Dr. Abdul Qayyum, promises a  transformative shift in veterinary healthcare through advanced vaccine delivery  methods. | 
  
    | • | Second Position: “Stem Cell Therapeutics and Regenerative  Medicine”, led by Dr. Azra Mehmood, showcases pioneering work in  cellular therapy with potential applications in tissue repair and regenerative  medicine. | 
  
    | These accolades not only reflect the scientific caliber of the  researchers at CEMB but also reaffirm the center’s commitment to addressing  real-world health challenges through innovation and translational research. | 
  
    | Honorable Minister for HED, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Secretary HED  Mr. Farrukh Naveed, and Vice Chancellor Punjab University, Prof. Dr.  Muhammad Ali, appreciated the Director CEMB and his team for their  outstanding contributions and innovation in the health sciences sector. |
