    | Lahore, Pakistan - The Yunus Emre Institute Turkish Cultural Center   Pakistan and the Faculty of Oriental Learning, University of the Punjab,   Lahore, jointly organized a two-day international conference on the   similarities between the philosophical and poetic works of Allama Iqbal   and Turkish national poet Muhammad Akif Ersoy.

    | The conference, presided over by Vice Chancellor University of the   Punjab Lahore, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, highlighted the vision and   similarities of the two great poets. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ali   emphasized the importance of discipline and merit in achieving academic   excellence, while also stressing the potential of Pakistan-Turkey   alliance in the current global scenario. He added that he is committed   to improving the ranking and quality of Punjab University to meet   international academic standards. |  
    | The Consul General of Turkey in Lahore, His Excellency Durmus Bostag,   inaugurated an exhibition of pictures showcasing the glorious moments of   Turkish history. He emphasized the significance of promoting the   teachings of Allama Iqbal and Akif Ersoy, highlighting the importance of   the alliance between Turkey and Pakistan as two pillars of the Muslim   Ummah. |
