The Pre-Defense Seminar for the Ph.D. dissertation titled "Clinical and Psychosocial Determinants of Perceived Quality of Life in People with Parkinson’s Disease" was presented by Ms. Fozia Hayat, a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Psychology, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique, Director, Institute of Applied Psychology. She pursued this research under the Split Ph.D. Program and spent one year in the United Kingdom under the co-supervision of Dr. Laura Brown, Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. The seminar delved into the intricate interplay between clinical factors, psychosocial elements, and mental health in influencing the quality of life among individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
The session fostered engaging discussions among attendees, highlighting the significance of holistic approaches in understanding and enhancing patient well-being.
